Northsiders is a digital community art project about/with Denver’s “Highlands” neighborhood by COLECTIVO CORRIENTE. We started this project because we have witnessed the complex spatial politics (race, class, gender, sexuality, environmental) currently occurring in the Northside and we felt the need to capture and make visible this urban ecology. How can academic theories of digital communities become a useful tool in understanding such contemporary social/ecological conditions in the community?
